Become a Volunteer
A Forever Home Animal Rescue cannot operate without our wonderful volunteers, and we are always need of more! We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities and try to match each person's skills with the activities they most enjoy. Time is a gift and we appreciate your willingness to help us continue to make a difference in the lives of so many innocent dogs in our care! All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
We are open seven days a week and need volunteers anytime during the hours of 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Training will be provided. Volunteer opportunities include:
We are open seven days a week and need volunteers anytime during the hours of 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Training will be provided. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Walking dogs
- Cleaning kennel areas (changing out dog bedding and toys, cleaning crates, and sweeping/mopping floor)
- Washing dog linens and pee pads (washer and dryer available within adoption facility)
- Indoor general maintenance
- Tree trimming and yard maintenance
- Transporting dogs to and from veterinary appointments
- Making phone calls (follow-up calls to adopters, calls to screen applicants for adoptions, setting up vet transports)
- Fundraising
- Helping out at adoption events
- Fostering a dog in your home (a separate application process is required)
