Georgia

Hi, My name is Georgia and I’m a “young “seven-year-old brindle pit mix. I currently spend much of my day lounging in my swimming pool playing with my blankies and many, many toys. My favorite is a giant stuffed whale and I have numerous chew toys (including my pool). I love it when my rescue moms sit in the pool with me and I climb in their laps and get kisses and belly rubs. Don’t judge, but I’m a big featherbrain. I sometime forget just how big and strong I really am (38 lbs). This being said, I wouldn’t want to mow down your little ones, so a home with adults or older kids might be best for me. I love taking long walks and enjoy smelling the many scents left behind by others. I’m extremely playful and would love a big fenced yard to run around in. If you’d like to join me, maybe we could play fetch! I promise to bring the ball back. I haven’t ever played Frisbee before, but I love to jump in the air so I think I’d be a pro at this sport! I was abandoned in the parking lot of Jeramiah’s Italian Ice on October 17th. I’m so thankful two sweet ladies from the dog rescue (AFHAR) were there to comfort me. I was taken to the rescue and introduced to a small group of people who walk,, feed, and play with me. The two sweet ladies, who I like to call mom, spoil me and I absolutely adore them. However, and please don’t tell them, I would love to have a home of my own where I can spend nights snuggled up with just my person(s). I’d love to stretch across their lap or breathe on them while I’m sleeping. So now that you’ve heard all about all my fabulous personality, I need to share a little something about me that I don’t like talking about. I haven’t been able to fully communicate this to my moms, but my past isn’t the best. I’ve had numerous litters of puppies (not by my choosing). I’m getting spayed on February 1st and I can’t wait—my body is finally going to get a break! Also, my previous owners weren’t too nice to me. I have PTSD and whenever I’m around other animals, I become overly protective and unpredictable. I’d prefer to be a loner—just me and my person(s). I know many people will shy away from me when hearing this, but I’m told every day how wonderful I am and I think you will agree. My moms and the staff at AFHAR love me and think I’m the sweetest girl. Won’t you schedule an appointment to meet me? You can also meet one or both of my moms and they can tell you more about me. Her adoption donation is $150 which includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip. She’s waiting for her Forever Home, so please come to meet her!
